Over the past few weeks, the CoNISMa team had the pleasure of participating in the 83rd Congress of the Italian Zoological Union (UZI) and the 57th European Marine Biology Symposium.
During these events, they presented the MAPWORMS project, showcasing two years of dedicated research into the biological and functional diversity of marine annelids as innovative models for bioinspired robotics. Their presentation highlighted how studying these organisms’ unique adaptations and movement mechanisms has advanced the design and functionality of next-generation soft robots with potential applications in medical, industrial, and environmental fields.
